Family relationships

Family relationships can include those between parent and child, partners and co-parents, and siblings, among others. These relationships are foundational in the cultivation of healthy and positive behaviour in our children. As relationships change, behaviour changes. My approach is to explore the parent-child relationship first; what is working well, and what feels challenging, and then introduce behaviour specific strategies.

Following the initial session, the way I work with you can look different depending on what feels best for your family and the change you are wishing to create. Including the child or young person’s voice can be vital in creating positive change. It may be that I work individually with your child, and you will be invited to join part of each session so you can support your child to generalise what they are learning to the home environment.
